Chapter 141 - Ten Thieves.
”W-Who are you?” Isaac asked with a rough tone. He had some difficulties in breathing and even more difficulties in standing.
His body felt very different, almost like his body belonged to someone else.
He managed to move into a kneeling position, but the shadows from black-robed figures overlapped his figure, making him look small and powerless.
[-1 HP]
”We are… Ten Thieves.” Rob replied and received a rope from one of the black-robed figures and was about to tie Isaac’s limbs with it.
After seeing his limbs about to be tied up, Isaac quickly slapped the rope away and fell down on his butt.
”Tsk.” Rob clicked his tongue, ”You want to do this hard way? Fine by me.” He signaled other members of Ten Thieves.
”I am always up for torture,” Sulo said and took a whip from his waist and slashed the floor with it.
*CRACK*
A sizeable slash mark appeared on the wooden floor.
Isaac’s back crashed on the altar, and with his blurry vision, he barely managed to see their sadistic smirks.
[-1 HP]
With his shaky hands, he managed to point his Musket Rifle towards the closest individual from him and had to utter all his strength to squeeze the trigger.
*BANG!*
The bullet left the barrel like a cannon and struck the figure nearest him, but soon, that figure became illusionary before completely disappearing.
”Keke, I guess poison is working well— he is even hallucinating,” Rob said with a peal of laughter and kicked the Musket Rifle away.
”Oww!” Isaac felt a stinging pain sensation on his hands as the Musket Rifle flew out of his hands and landed on the other side of the room.
[-25 HP]
He saw notifications popping up in front of him, but he couldn’t make sense of the words, but he had a hunch that his HP was reducing at a terrifying pace.
”Tie his limbs, then we can do whatever we want with him,” Rob said and threw the rope on the nearest name with the name of Stone.
”Roger,” Stone said with his usual cold tone and crouched in front of Isaac, whose grey eyes had a tinge of red appearing.
Even though Isaac’s eyesight was unusable, he could clearly smell the disgusting stench of Ten Thieves, obviously haven’t bathed in years.
His flesh was also getting goosebumps as something was approaching.
Turning his head, Isaac saw an outline of a figure about to touch his leg; he could barely see him but saw enough.
”Interface…” He muttered quiet enough so that no one could hear.
Doing the same motions over hundred times by now.
He knew where Inventory was located.
To Ten Thieves, it looked like Isaac had another hallucination incident, but instead, he pressed Inventory and took an item from there…
No one was prepared.
”Stone, look out!” Rob screamed and quickly unsheathed his dagger and tried to save one of his friends, but he was too late.
Stone, the guy with a cold tone and equally cold grey eyes, widened his eyes as something cold and hard touched his forehead.
Raising his head slightly, he saw a barrel of Flintlock Pistol!
*BANG*
Isaac pressed the trigger, which caused a terrifying sound to appear. To many, it was the sound of death, especially for Stone.
Stone’s eyes widened as a bullet pierced through his forehead; he didn’t even have time to beg for mercy as he lifelessly fell down to the ground.
[You Killed Thief Stone!]
[500 XP Earned!]
”Bastard!” Rob and the other Ten Thieves became enraged and wanted to make Isaac suffer.
”Come here, you little shit! We will make you regret that you were ever born!” Rob put his hand forwards, about to grab Isaac’s white hair.
But then… Isaac dodged the hand and pointed the Flintlock Pistol on Rob’s left leg.
”Captain, look out!” Sulo screamed, but it was too late.
Rob’s anger clouded his judgment, and he realized his mistake too late.
Expecting incoming pain, he closed his eyes, but something else happened.
”This better work…” Isaac murmured, and a layer of frost appeared on the barrel of the Flintlock Pistol.
[Icy Shot!]
He pressed the trigger powerfully.
*Bam!*
A muffled sound of something leaving the barrel was heard. It was completely different from the sound of firing; instead, it was very tame.
A frozen bullet left the barrel and landed at Rob’s shinbone.
”Ahhh!” Rob cried out after feeling a spike in coldness. He anxiously looked at his leg and it was completely covered in ice!
He tried to move his leg, but it was frozen solid and stuck on the wooden floor.
”You bitch, what did you do?!” Rob angrily shouted and tried to grab Isaac, but he has already retreated far enough.
”Captain, are you alright?!” Sulo and others asked as they appeared next to Rob, whose face was starting to become pale.
”K-Kill that bitch!” He uttered his enraged words.
Sulo and others nodded. They looked towards Isaac with murderous gazes as they started stepping forwards.
”Agh…” Isaac quickly crawled towards Musket Rifle and managed to grab it just in time.
Sulo and others didn’t hastily attack, they knew Isaac’s vision was very bad, and if they kept their distance, they would win.
Isaac threw the Flintlock Pistol back on his Inventory and stood up to stand with his Musket Rifle in firing stance.
He saw the black-robed figures suddenly multiplying until around 20 men were surrounding him.
But, he knew it was the result of the poison, and at this rate, he would die no matter what he did.
His HP was still reducing.
[-1 HP]
Every second, his HP was ticking down.
‘A-Antidote…’ He needed an antidote, but he isn’t sure does any of the Ten Thieves have it.
”Kill him already!” Rob screamed as he tried to remove the layer of ice with his bare hands. He kept smacking it, hammering it, kicking it, and soon, the ice started reducing, but he still couldn’t move around.
Isaac, hearing the sound of ice getting destroyed, knew that he didn’t have much time left.
‘I won’t die here…’ Isaac thought to himself and pointed the Musket Rifle towards the Ten Thieves, who seemed wary and ready to counter-attack once the bullet missed them.
*Sniff*
Isaac took a quick sniff of the air, and gladly he was far enough to not smell the mold anymore and get even worse symptoms.
But, he smelled the stench of Ten Thieves, barely, but managed to do it.
He had a hunch where one person is, but wasn’t completely sure.
Deciding to gamble with his luck.
He turned the Musket Rifle slightly until the barrel was pointing at one of the black-robed figures who widened his eyes in shock.
He squeezed the trigger, and once again.
A bullet left the barrel while a recoil rocked Isaac’s shoulder.
*BANG!*
