Chapter 142 - Isaac Vs. Ten Thieves.

*CRACK*

A bullet pierced through another black-robed man’s forehead and exited from the back of his head. Without being able to comprehend death, he fell silent as he took his last breath.

Falling down to the ground, his face looked emotionless.

Seeing another one of their friends dying, both Sulo and Rob looked enraged.

Yrjo, the one with a disgusting smile before, looked pale after seeing one of his friends dying. He was standing right next to him, and if he was unlucky, it would be him who would have died.

Realizing the dire situation, none of them dared to belittle this white-haired young man.

Isaac wiped his sweat with his sleeve and slowly started walking towards the exit of the temple. He wants to go out in the open so that he can fight more freely, but Ten Thieves didn’t plan letting him do that.

Sulo leaped through the air and landed at the exit of the entrance.

He murderously gazed at Isaac and grabbed the hilt of his dagger tighter.

*SMACK!*

*CRACK!*

”Haha!” Rob suddenly bursted into laughter and slammed his fist one last time on the ice, and it finally broke apart.

His leg became visible, and his clothing still had a hue of ice, but he could now move his leg. It was very sensitive, and he could barely move it without feeling pain, but he ignored it all and rushed towards Isaac with his dagger, ready to take lives!

”This is for my friends!” Rob shouted and thrusted his dagger forwards.

Sulo, after seeing his Captain making a move, decided to unleash his own attack.

He threw his dagger, and as it left his hand, it was clear what his target was.

Isaac’s neck!

*Creak!*

Isaac took a step backward, which was enough to dodge the dagger, but he knew that Rob’s attack would hit him. He could barely see his figure, let alone his attack!

His back crashed on the wall, and Rob was closing in.

”Dieeeee!” Rob did one final burst of speed and appeared in front of Isaac; without further ado, he thrusted the dagger forwards, planning to stab it deep inside Isaac’s throat.

After killing hundreds and hundreds of innocents.

He knows what a painful way to die is. A dagger to the throat, which would crush his windpipe, is a terrifying experience.

At first, the pain that comes from getting something metallic stuck inside a throat is terrifying and painful. And, once the dagger is stuck on the windpipe, it is like Isaac is choking on a large metallic piece, and what is worst, he can’t either swallow it or take it out.

That is only the beginning.

Soon, he would start choking on his own blood and slowly suffocate.

A sadistic and disgusting smirk appeared on Rob’s face as he imagined Isaac’s face morphed into pain.

*Crack*

Soon, both Isaac and Rob heard a sound of cracking coming below them.

Rob’s attack was slightly disturbed, and so was Isaac’s attention, as the floor below them cracked and caved in!

*BAM!*

Isaac’s body crashed through the floor and landed on the hard rocky ground, with his vision showing the hole where he fell from and the distinct ceiling of the temple.

”Argh!” Rob rubbed his painful head and stood up to look around him. He and Isaac were standing in the middle of dark space, but he could clearly see the foundations of the temple, the pillars that have kept it standing for hundreds of years.

Isaac’s vision was even worse in the dark space, but then he had an idea!

Rob rubbed his head and looked towards Isaac, and remembered his initial goal.

Killing Isaac!

”Captain, are you alright?!” Sulo’s anxious shout came from the temple.

”Yes, I will kill this bitch quick!” Rob shouted back and slowly made his way over to Isaac, intentionally slowing down so Isaac would feel as much fear as possible.

But then, a smirk that he didn’t notice appeared on Isaac’s face.

He grabbed his hood and covered his head with it. He stood up and disappeared into the darkness.

”Eh?” Rob narrowed his eyes and saw that Isaac had disappeared!

”W-Where?!” Rob anxiously looked around him and then shouted, ”Come down here! That bitch escaped!”

”Alright, we will use the rope to descend safely!” Sulo shouted back, and hurried footsteps echoed from the temple.

”Hurry up!” Rob screamed and felt slight fear after being surrounded by darkness.

”They can’t save you…” A bone-chilling voice came behind him, and something touched the back of his head.

Rob paled as he dropped his dagger, ”M-Mercy, w-w-we didn’t mean it. P-Please, let me go, and we will never again bother you.”

”I wish I could believe you.” Isaac’s face appeared from the darkness as he put his finger on the trigger, ”Tell me, how many innocents have you killed?”

”I-I-I don’t kill, p-please trust me!” Rob’s right hand slowly approached his other dagger, located on his left waist.

”Tell me, please give me a reason for killing you.” Isaac saw him moving his hand closer to the dagger, but he didn’t care about it.

”I don’t kill! Sulo and others are doing the killings— I am innocent!” Rob lied with a poker face, and his mouth slightly curved into a smirk as his hand touched the dagger.

”Thank you for giving me a reason for killing you,” Isaac said coldly.

”Eh?” Rob widened his eyes and quickly unsheathed his dagger, but it was too late for him.

*BANG!*

The bullet pierced through his head effortlessly and continued its travel in the darkness.

Rob slowly fell down on the ground, littering the ground in blue blood.

”Captain, are you alright?!” Sulo shouted anxiously after hearing a gunshot, and soon, a rope dropped down from the hole and landed next to Rob’s corpse.

Isaac crouched down his corpse and went through his pockets. His heart started racing as he took a glass bottle from the pocket and gulped the interior of the bottle inside his throat.
