Part Wolf

Chapter 432 - 432: You Won't Get To Keep Your Hands

Chapter 432 – 432: You Won’t Get To Keep Your Hands

"And?" She asked, appearing as calm as the ocean before a storm.

The man chuckled, his eyes flashing yellow with his animal instincts. "Maybe he is disinterested in you. Our alpha is not one to keep his hands off of women." He paused, looking her up and down. "Especially pretty ones like you." He said, his hand shooting towards her.

The goddess dodged the move, stepping to her left at the speed of light. She huffed, watching his eyes go wide in shock. "I'm the least bothered about that," Luna said, smirking at the annoyed wolf.

She was about to turn away from him when suddenly the destiny stone pulsed. Luna stilled, her hand flying to the locket that was hidden underneath the coarse cloth of the dress. The stone pulsed once again, before settling into a warm temperature.

"No, no, no. Not now." She whispered, cursing under her breath.

The goddess didn't dare to look around. The shard seemed to have come back. He was quite close, hiding somewhere around them. She gulped, raising her eyes to meet the lustful gaze of the man in front of her. She hoped that it was not what she thought it would be. It was too early for the shard to realize who she was.

Kirk didn't seem to notice the presence of the rogue wolf. He sniggered, breaking out into a full-fledged laugh. The man shot towards the goddess, taking hold of her hand in a fit of madness. "You should have cared more." He taunted, pulling her towards him aggressively. "Now you have no one to protect you in this deserted forest."

Luna gritted her teeth, glaring daggers at the imbecile. Maybe she had thought too much. She wanted to avoid blood on her hands since it could lead to unwanted attention from the spiritual realm. But the man was proving it impossible for her to stay sane.

She could feel her magic straining against the barrier that she had attempted to tear not long ago. With just a flick of her finger, the wolf would be gone, vanishing into the depths of time like he had never existed. The allure was too much.

'Master, don't do it. We cannot afford for anyone to notice us at this point.' The Tohar Sehlah warned, its nervous sound echoing in her head. 'And we don't know what the Demon King has to do with their pack. Please calm down.'

Luna frowned at the sudden intrusion into her mind. But the stone had a point, she thought as she struggled to control her magic.

'But master,' The Dam Sehlah pointed out, pushing into her head. 'If we were to retrieve the shard before the higher-ups come and leave this timeline, they wouldn't be able to find us.'

'Shut up, you stupid stone!' The white stone exclaimed, pushing its counterpart in annoyance. 'There must be wards on the Island. The moment she uses her power, whoever it was that has set it up would get to know that she's here.'

'Then we could kill them too.' The red stone said, its voice rising in excitement.

'Not if it is the Demon King.' The Dam Sehlah said with a groan.

Luna cleared her throat, warning the two stones to shut up. Their prolonged presence in the front of her mind was giving her a headache. Knowing that it was not safe to continue bickering, the stones quieted down, retreating to the back of her consciousness. The goddess sighed, turning her full attention back to the bearded man in front of her.

"Let go." She warned, narrowing her eyes at him.

The wolf hissed, annoyed at her words. "You're just a filthy fae!" He exclaimed, baring his fangs at her. "How dare-"

"You'll regret it if you don't let go." Luna interrupted, leaning towards him in a challenge.

Kirk opened his mouth to say something when he was cut off by a low growl to his right. The man's back straightened as his body went on full alert. The predator in him awoke with the presence of the intruder being broadcasted. before she could make a move, he pushed her away, taking off towards the direction of the thicket of trees.

Luna cursed under her breath, following quickly behind him. It didn't take her long to catch up to him. He had not fully shifted in his haste and was running behind a huge silver wolf through the tall, wet trees. She had half a mind to use her magic, but she knew that the Tohar Sehlah was right. She looked around in her flight, searching for the perfect weapon to distract the wolf.

That was when she noticed a rock the size of her face lying between the huge roots of an evergreen tree. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the consequences. Right now, she needed to save the silver wolf, she thought, bending down to pick up the rock.

"Hey, you bearded dog!" She shouted, raising her hand in the air.

Kirk slowed, distracted by her sound. Just as he turned to her, she laughed, launching the weapon right at his face. The stone grazed his cheek as he dodged, drawing blood from the wound. The wolf growled, enraged by her challenge. He glanced back towards the trail. The silver wolf was long gone. He turned back to her with a deadly glare.

"You bitch!" He screamed, launching towards her in rage, with his claws outstretched.

The goddess frowned, readying herself to dodge the attack when suddenly, a familiar figure flashed in front of her. The alpha's muscled arms caught the wolf's claws with ease, stopping the man before he could even reach her.

"What do you think you are doing?" William asked, pushing his subordinate to the ground carelessly.

"Alpha!" Kirk exclaimed, rising to his knees in haste. He pointed a shaky finger towards a surprised Luna. "I sensed him again. But this woman-"

The goddess grabbed the alpha's hand, turning her towards him quickly before the wolf could complete his sentence. "This man wanted to force himself on me, saying that you are not interested in me, anyway." She complained, pursing her lips in protest.

"Oh?" William asked, raising his brows. He looked down at his hand with amusement, smiling at the way she was gripping his wrist. Luna let go of his hand in haste, realizing her mistake. The alpha chuckled, turning towards his subordinate. "Is that so, Kirk?" He asked, a dangerous smile spreading across his mouth.

Kirk's eyes widened in fright. "A-Alpha I-"

The alpha frowned, his irritation visible in his features. "Go to the dungeon and receive fifty lashes with the spiked whip." He said, narrowing his eyes at his subordinate. "You know better than to touch what's mine."

Kirk gulped, lowering his head in shame. "Yes, Alpha." He replied, keeping his eyes on the ground.

Taking one last glance at the goddess, the man gritted his teeth before turning away from the two of them with an annoyed expression. He had only taken two steps when the alpha called out.

"And Kirk?" William called, stopping the man in his tracks.

"Hmm?" Kirk asked, turning back to his alpha with raised brows.

"The next time, you won't get to keep your hands," William said, his voice lowering dangerously.

Kirk quickly nodded. "I understand." He murmured through clenched teeth.

"Go now." The alpha said, nodding the man away dismissively.

Luna watched him shift, his clothes tearing as a huge brown wolf replaced the man's body. Knowing that it was the perfect time to sneak away, she held her breath, turning in the opposite direction, trying to make as little noise as possible.

"Where do you think you are going?" The alpha's question stopped her dead in her tracks.

Luna cursed under her breath, turning around to face the man with an awkward smile. "Uhh..to resume my walk?" She said, scratching the back of her head goofily.

William laughed, shaking his head at her. "Go back to my residence. Don't wander around anymore." He paused, retrieving something from his pocket. The next moment, a shiny object was flying towards her. Luna raised her hands, catching the cold object with ease. "And carry this with you." He said, nodding towards the medallion in her hand.

The goddess frowned, looking at the palm-sized golden token. A nine-pointed star was engraved onto it. "Why do you give this to me?" She asked, looking at the man in confusion.

William beamed. "So that no one questions my interest in you anymore." He said, winking at her mischievously.
